Getting started
Do I need an account?
No. Fastive works as a guest on first launch. You can optionally add an email later (Settings → Add Email) to sync across devices.
Which languages are supported?
English, Turkish, Spanish, French, Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese, Korean, Italian, and Polish. The app uses your device language on first launch; you can change it in Settings.
Is Fastive medical advice?
No. Fastive is a wellness tracking tool. Always consult a healthcare professional before starting intermittent fasting, especially if you have a medical condition.
Fasting & features
Which fasting plans are free?
Core plans such as 16:8 and 18:6 are free. Premium unlocks 20:4, OMAD, 5:2, heat map, badges, and related Premium features.
What are metabolic phases?
Phase descriptions (fed state, fat burning, ketosis, autophagy, etc.) are educational timelines based on elapsed fasting time. They are not personalized medical assessments.
How does the AI meal scanner work?
Take a photo of your meal. Our AI estimates calories, macros, and whether the meal may break your fast. Results are approximate. All users are currently limited to one AI scan per day (UTC).
Why did my scan fail?
Common reasons: daily limit reached, no food detected in photo, poor network, or temporary AI service unavailability. Try again the next day or log the meal manually.
Apple Health & Health Connect
What does Health Sync do?
When enabled (Settings → Health Sync): reads your latest weight and today's step count; writes completed fasting sessions. Sync is optional and requires permissions in Fastive and your device's health settings.
Health sync shows "unsupported"
HealthKit requires a native iOS build (TestFlight or App Store) — it does not work in Expo Go. On Android, Health Connect requires a compatible device and OS version.
Notifications & Live Activity
I'm not receiving reminders
Check: (1) Fastive → Settings → Notifications are enabled, (2) system notification permission is allowed for Fastive, (3) Do Not Disturb / Focus modes are not blocking alerts.
Live Activity doesn't appear (iOS)
Live Activity requires iOS 16.4+ and a supported device. Start an active fast and ensure Live Activities are enabled for Fastive in system Settings.
Account
How do I add an email to my guest account?
Settings → Add Email → enter email and password (minimum 6 characters).
How do I sign in on a new device?
You must have linked an email first. Then use Settings → Sign In with your credentials.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete Account (registered accounts only). This permanently deletes your cloud data and meal photos. Guest accounts cannot be deleted via the app — uninstall Fastive or clear app data.
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and follow the email link. Ensure fastive:// deep links work on your device.
Fastive Premium & billing
What's included in Premium?
Advanced fasting plans (20:4, OMAD, 5:2), heat map analytics, badges, and other Premium features listed in the app.
Is there a free trial?
No. Subscriptions charge through the App Store or Google Play at purchase. You can cancel anytime before renewal.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google — not inside Fastive.
iPhone / iPad: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Fastive → Cancel Subscription
Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Fastive → Cancel
How do I restore purchases?
Settings → Restore Purchases, or tap Restore on the Paywall. Use the same Apple ID or Google account you originally purchased with.
I was charged but Premium isn't active
Try Restore Purchases. If it still fails, email hello@fastive.app with your store receipt or transaction ID.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google. Siafy cannot process store refunds directly.
Privacy & data
What data does Fastive collect?
See our full Privacy Policy. In short: profile and wellness logs, optional meal photos, optional health data, subscription status, and (with consent) analytics events.
Where is my data stored?
Cloud data is stored securely via Supabase. A local copy is kept on your device for offline use.
How do I opt out of analytics?
Analytics are only sent if you accepted during onboarding. Contact us to update preferences.
